Game Selections
With options in the four main US sports of MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL, Yahoo enters the daily fantasy sports market. Yahoo offers a few guaranteed competitions, 50/the 50s, team games, and head-to-heads.
In the lobby, there are already a respectable number of user-made games, including both “group” games and pay games like head-to-head and 50/50 matches. Given that Yahoo’s regular season-long offering attracts considerably more users than any DFS site, it may have the greatest user base of any DFS site that it can access. The number of games will increase as more of these individuals try daily fantasy sports, which is wonderful for those looking for a new venue to play outside of the larger DFS-centric websites.

Yahoo’s rules for scoring and rosters
Yahoo scoring and rosters resemble some of the current options, including FanDuel or DraftKings. Many gamers may notice that scoring and roster construction have a similar feel to them.
Similar to DraftKings, Yahoo’s MLB rosters feature two pitchers, four infield positions, three outfielders, and a catcher. FanDuel-style scoring is used, but practically every point category has been doubled.

Batters

In its roster settings for the NFL, Yahoo has decided to only include one QB and exclude kickers, DEF/ST, and DEF/ST. There are no bonuses and scoring mimics a typical 0.5-point PPR league.
With nine roster places, similar scoring to FanDuel‘s, and no prizes for player milestones like double- or triple-doubles, Yahoo’s season-long games are most equivalent to the NBA’s nine roster spots.
User Experience and the Interface
The Yahoo Daily Fantasy Sports home page appears to have a new, clean layout, which is its best feature. The filters at the top of the website make it apparent what kinds of contests are available in each segment, and it enables a smooth transition from their season-long offerings to their daily offerings.

Lineup Establishment
On Yahoo, creating a lineup is a rather straightforward process. On the left is the player pool, and on the right is the squad you’ve chosen. You can see the remaining budget and the average player salary at the top of the page. To find a certain player to add to your squad, use the search bar at the top of the page. You can import an existing lineup into the page and continue editing from there if you’ve previously established one.
When you are finished, you may submit your lineup by clicking the “Submit” button. This will take you to a confirmation popup screen. After that, you will be taken to your forthcoming contests page, which displays a complete list of all the players you have chosen for each lineup.
Late switch
Yahoo tossed their hat directly into the “late swap” ring when they joined the DFS fray. You can modify your lineups up until the start of the game for that player, following the example established by Yahoo Season-long and DraftKings. This feature offers a layer of flexibility and strategy for all players when building your squads.
Mobile Services
Yahoo entered the market with a well-known mobile app that can connect with all of its users simultaneously. If you have an iOS device, you may immediately start playing Daily Fantasy by downloading the Yahoo Mobile app. unfortunately, there isn’t presently an Android app that you can download to access your daily games; instead, you must use your mobile browser to access Yahoo’s daily fantasy sports page.
The desktop website’s capabilities, such as the ability to create and enter contests, view your contests as they unfold, and edit teams up until the game locks, are all available on the iOS app, which does have a slick UI.
